Statutory School Policies
In addition, at Portway, we have a set of statutoryĀ school policiesĀ which we regularly review and update. A number of these are required by law; others we have developed in order to ensure that our processes and procedures in all areas of school life are clear and are understood by all.
Our policies ensure that we have a robust way of maintaining and improving the high standards that we set ourselves and our children. Furthermore, they provide all our stakeholders with a āroad-mapā through which to access information about school life. Fundamentally, they support our vision of being a learning community for all.
Our Provision Map, our School Accessiblity Plan, our SEND Information Report and our SEND and Inclusion Policy are all available on the Inclusion page.
Our school Behaviour Policy, our Anti-bullying Policy, our Online Safety Policy (a statutory requirement as per Keeping Children Safe in Education, September 2023) are all on the Behaviour at School and Online page.
Our RHSE Policy follows both Newham guidance and our Trust RHSE Principles Statement (available on the Policies Page of the Trust website).Ā It is available on the RHSE page, which can be found in the Curriculum menu.
Non-statutory School Policies
Ensuring that our children attend school is crucial to successful outcomes.Ā We have therefore published a Pupil Attendance Policy, available on the Attendance and Punctuality page.
Copies of other policies in use at school are available on request from the School Office.
